Kakigori or Japanese Shaved Ice

Kakigori is a Japanese shaved ice dessert flavored with syrup and condensed milk. During the hot summer months, kakigōri is sold virtually everywhere in Japan. Some shops serve it with ice cream and sweetened red beans.
